PARAGON:  A model of excellence; a peerless example

Paragon Arts is a Los Angeles based non-profit organization dedicated to using the performing arts to find solutions, overcome barriers, and uplift the human experience.

Excellence is a process rather than an individual act.  It is a quest rather than a single destination.  Artists achieve excellence not by virtue of being excellent artists but through a collaborative and committed process of discovery and rehearsal.  Writers, directors, actors, designers, technicians, musicians, painters, dancers, builders, ushers, stage managers, and audience members come together to create dynamic presentations of life that both reflect and point to something better. 

   A drop of rain that falls to the world
     Is lost and formless when it lands

 But if fortune is right, it becomes a pearl
           On the lotus leaf, it stands

 
At Paragon Arts, we aim not only to set the stage for insightful and moving works of art, but also to provide a safe and challenging arena that inspires our participants to create their own fortunes and to stand tall.
